SUMMARY:Rains Over Babel
DESCRIPTION:Winner of Best Film at Inside Out Toronto and a standout at both Sundance and Rotterdam\, RAINS OVER BABEL is a genre-defying\, visionary debut from Gala del Sol. Set inside the hottest nightclub this side of the underworld\, RAINS OVER BABEL is a wild\, electrifying descent into a tropical-punk purgatory where the music never stops\, the drinks come with consequences\, and Death goes by the name La Flaca. In this surreal Colombian fantasy\, a misfit cast of drag queens\, dreamers\, ex-soldiers\, and runaways populate Club Babel\, a dive bar that doubles as a cosmic holding cell. Everything is saturated in sex\, color\, and danger\, all set to a luscious soundscape that pulses like the last song before the lights come up. Here\, the only way out is to gamble your soul\, dance through your grief\, or find a way to face what’s been holding you back.
