SUMMARY:Pooja\, Sir
DESCRIPTION:Nominated for the Queer Lion at the Venice Film Festival\, POOJA\, SIR stars Asha Magrati in a powerful lead role as Nepal’s first female detective who is assigned to investigate the disappearance of two boys in a tense border town on the edge of political uprising. What begins as a high-stakes kidnapping quickly unravels into a tangled web of protest\, corruption\, and deeply rooted discrimination. With time running out and no clear leads\, Detective Pooja must partner with Mamata\, a sharp local officer from the marginalized Madhesi community\, to navigate violent unrest\, institutional misogyny\, and personal risk\, their uneasy alliance becomes a story about visibility\, survival\, and the cost of doing what’s right.
