SUMMARY:A Man Walks Down The Street
DESCRIPTION:New York-based Israeli filmmaker Yuval Hadadi returns to Reeling with A MAN WALKS DOWN THE STREET which tells the story of Raanan who returns to his hometown after thirty years abroad to settle his late mother’s estate. A chance encounter with an elderly stranger stirs buried memories\, while an unexpected affair with Adir\, a much younger man\, awakens desires and insecurities he has long kept buried. As passion gives way to shame\, longing\, and self-reckoning\, Raanan is forced to confront internalized homophobia\, unresolved grief\, and the life he has long held at a distance. With sensitivity and emotional precision\, Hadadi follows his 2019 debut 15 YEARS (winner of Reeling’s Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature) with an erotic\, contemplative\, and deeply moving portrait of love\, identity\, and the courage it takes to embrace change. Join us after the screening for a live discussion. Richard Knight Jr. will moderate an exclusive conversation with director and screenwriter Yuval Hadadi.
