Two West Side teenagers who stole the wallet of a man at the Belmont CTA "L" station Wednesday morning have been charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery and aggravated battery to a police officer, according to a report on ChicagoBreakingNews.com.

Faison Hicks, 18, of the 500 block of North Springfield Avenue, and alleged accomplice Semaj Jones, 18, of the 900 block of South Hamlin Avenue, are scheduled to appear in bond court later today.

According to Chicago Police, the incident happened at 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday when a male pickpocket--dressed as a woman, wearing makeup and carrying a purse--stole the wallet of an Irish national at the Red Line train stop on Belmont.

The man ran after the thief and an accomplice. When he caught up, one of them started beating him with a length of chain down the street at Sheffield Avenue and Fletcher.

Police caught the culprits a short time later with the help of a cab driver.
