Reeling: Drifter

Situated in the pulsating heart of Germany's renowned party scene, 22-year-old Moritz relocates to Berlin to be with his boyfriend Jonas, only to be dumped within weeks. Emotionally raw and seeking an escape, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery, sampling all that the city has to offer. For a while, he finds solace with the older Noah, but eventually moves on. Altering his appearance, he immerses himself in the city's throbbing, world-famous techno scene. As he begins to express his suppressed desires, he also starts to lose himself in a haze of drugs and emotional detachment. With the support of his queer friends, Moritz begins to shape his own understanding of sexuality and masculinity, bringing him a step closer to self-realization. A kink-positive exploration of identity and found family that fervently examines the boundaries between escape and exploration as it relates to personal growth and excess.
