NITRO: Ice Ball with Peter Rauhofer

The Third Annual ICE BALL is presented by Nightlife Unlimited at Circuit Night Club, 3641 North Halsted Street on Saturday, February 23rd. Doors open at 10pm. Producer, remixer, DJ and owner of the *69 label, Peter Rauhofer headlines this years ICE BALL. You may know some of Peter's remix work from projects like Justin Timberlake's "Sexy Back", Paris Hilton's "I Want You", Beyonce's "Upgrade U", Nelly Furtado's single "Say It Right", Rihanna's hit "Don't Stop The Music", and Britney Spears "Gimme More". Peter returns to NITRO @ Circuit for this not-to-be-missed event. ICE BALL came to Circuit in 2006, which marked the beginning of this annual event. Organizer Mike Macharello explains "the ICE BALL actually started in 2005 as an afterhours party at the Metro in conjunction with Fire Ball, a legendary event that occurred each year in February." Also stating that "when Fire Ball ended it's long run, there was no need for the afterhours, but we decided to continue the celebrated event at a nightclub venue." "VisuWil", a multi-talented company devoted to innovative and creative concepts, brings together fascinating elements for each monthly NITRO theme events. Will Harrison of VisuWil said "this will be my second year to help produce ICE BALL, last year we celebrated the kick off of NITRO and ICE BALL was our first theme event." Will continues, "as the name would imply, there will be cool icy elements but the night will defiantly be hot!" The prominent ice sculptures for ICE BALL are the creation of Art Below Zero, a chicagoland company that produce creative designs in ice and has won several awards for their work. Hugo, one of Chicago's premier DJs has been resident at Circuit since 1997 and has worked with all the major DJs such as Peter Rauhofer and Junior Vasquez, to name a few. Hugo's style has quickly earned him a reputation on the dance floor as a major player in the club scene. Miss Foozie along with Sal-E are hosts for this icy night of fun and imagination, which includes ice melting dancers, all night long. There will be stage performances by Cyon Flare, Eddie Couture.
