Tea Time with Two Loons For Tea

Advocate, Loyola’s official GLBTQA organization, has made one of its primary goals for the next couple of years and into its future to establish a scholarship to help pay for the higher education of individuals who have significantly and positively contributed to the GLBTQA community. We strongly believe that these people deserve a reward for their efforts so that they can continue to strongly represent the GLBTQA community at Loyola, in Chicago, and around the world. We have an official bank account that receives all funds raised towards this scholarship. We currently do not have nearly the needed amount. We need 50,000 dollars to set up an endowment in order to be able to give the scholarship to a deserving student On March 22nd, we hope to raise a significant portion of the money by having Tea Time with Two Loons For Tea in the Centennial Forum Student Union, located on Loyola University Chicago’s Lake Shore Campus. On this date, at 4:00pm, we will hold a tea party (which is also the time high tea is served in England) with refreshments and snacks. At 5:00pm, the lobby of the student union will turn into the stage for the independent, Seattle-based band Two Loons For Tea to perform a 90 minute set of music. After their set, they will sign Cds and sell merchandise. Two Loons For Tea believes strongly in our cause and we are extremely thankful for their time and talent in order to create awareness and raise money for this crucial scholarship.
