Equality Illinois First Friday

Join Equality Illinois supporters and friends for this monthly networking event at Sidertack. Our partners for April are: Proud to Run and BEHIV. Sidetrack, Glass Bar 3349 N. Halsted Street For a $10 donation to Equality Illinois, you receive two drink tickets, and a ticket for a door prize drawing. April First Friday Partners: Proud to Run is a 10K run, 5K run and 2 Mile fun walk that celebrates lesbian and gay pride, held on the Saturday before the Gay & Lesbian Pride Parade. The 2008 Proud to Run will be held Saturday, June 28th. Everyone who wishes to join in the celebration and show their support is welcome, regardless of sexual orientation. Proud to Run also raises funds to help health and service organizations. Proud to Run is presented in association with Frontrunners/Frontwalkers Chicago, Chicago’s LGBT running and walking club. BEHIV - Better Existence with HIV – is one of only a few comprehensive AIDS service organizations in the Chicago area and the only comprehensive provider for the North Shore. Founded in 1989 by community volunteers and based in Evanston and Chicago, BEHIV provides case management services in Chicago neighborhoods that include the 1st and 2nd highest rates of AIDS in Illinois. Along with their services, BEHIV will be promoting the Club BEHIV & Cabaret - April in Paris, which will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Sidetrack, Glass Bar 3349 N.
