About this event

Don't miss Chicago writer/director/actor Gerard Jamroz's Chicago premiere of his film Lofty Intentions. Gerald Jamroz will be present for audience discussion. Lofty Intentions Inspired by the methods of John Cassavetes, Mike Leigh, and the films of the Dogme movement, writer/director/actor Jamroz (CHICAGO POEMS) weaves a story with the edginess of noir but the down-to-earth realism of its Chicago locations. The life of Alex (Mossman), a conflicted immigration officer, is dogged by the memory of recent losses and cover-ups, and the imminent break-up of his marriage. His tentative pursuit of a nursing student pulls him into the sphere of drag queen Athena (Jamroz), where an attempt to turn the page on his old life results in revisiting the past. DV-Cam video. (BS)
