About this event

Reeling presents Boy, a story about love blossoming in improbable circumstances. When two young men from seemingly mismatched worlds meet and fall for each other, they explore the value of the connection they’ve made. Presented in In Tagalog with English subtitles. Admission: $10.00 ($8.00 members), tickets available online: http://reelingfilmfestival.tix.com The titular “Boy” is an eighteen-year-old poet who lives alone with his mother in the Philippines. On a visit of curiosity to a local strip lounge, the Boy finds himself infatuated with Aries, the most beautiful of all those seducing him from under the candy-colored stage lights. The Boy sells his most prized possessions to pay for a night with Aries, and he soon discovers that his connection with the sensuous dancer may be more than physical. As their relationship becomes increasingly intense, the Boy must decide if it is worth bridging the gap between their two worlds to stay together. About Reeling: Reeling 2009, the second-oldest LGBT film festival in the world, will run November 5th through the 15th, showcasing innovative gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender films from around the globe.
